Tech Notes:

TX3340: If the radio has firmware version v2.02 or ‘below’, it will only display the three colours Green, Red & Orange using the MC534B microphone as these versions were only suited to the MC520B microphone which is no longer available.

TX3345, TX3520, TX3540S: The firmware version will be v2.03 or ‘above’ and the MC534B will function normally and display the full spectrum backlight.

The firmware version can be accessed by turning the radio off, holding in the Selcall button on the top of the microphone, and while holding this key turn the radio on it will briefly display the firmware version.
